Paul Ainsworth is currently eyeing up a big personal challenge for spring, which will see him step out of the kitchen and onto the pavement. That’s right: Paul’s running in the Virgin Money London Marathon on 28th April, to raise as much as he can for Pancreatic Cancer UK in honour of his father.

“Having seen my father suffer from pancreatic cancer, I know the devastation it can cause to both the patient and family” says Paul, “he passed on a work ethic that made me determined to make something of my life.”

Pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival rate of the twenty most common forms of cancer, with less than 7% of people with the disease currently surviving beyond five years. If you wish to support this great cause, visit Paul’s fundraising page at

If you can’t make it to London to watch the marathon, you can still catch Paul on TV with James Martin this March.
