What a fantastic summer we’ve had. The sunshine has been kind to the British Isles and Padstow Harbour has been nothing short of brimming with happy holiday makers throughout the summer months. It’s been so nice seeing our guests dine al fresco at Rojano’s In The Square, watching the world go by and enjoying the summer sun. If you’re holding out for a balmy September like we are, you’ll probably have a few BBQs planned for the coming weeks. Check out our BBQ tips here.
There have been so many highlights from the year so far…
Being awarded Best Chef at the GQ Food and Drink Awards and having the award presented by my good mate, Tom Kerridge is most definitely up there! We are so excited to be providing a taste of Cornwall this Wednesday 5th September at the prestigious GQ Men of the Year Awards, which celebrates the men and women who shape the world’s cultural landscape over style, politics, entertainment and sport. Find out more about the event here
We also joined Tom at his Pub in the Park Food Festival in Marlow, Bath and Tunbridge Wells, cooking alongside Jason Atherton, Angela Hartnett & Claude Bosi and celebrating the very best food the country has to offer. The last leg of the tour is at Knutsford taking place on the 7-9th September. Get your tickets here.
Another massive highlight of the summer was taking part in the Port Eliot Festival with the talented desperate housewife star Terri Hatcher. Honestly, I’ve never seen my Mum and Emma so star struck. We enjoyed the most incredible produce from Philip Warrens beef and Padstow Lobster, cooking on an 18th Century fire pit.
The pace for the rest of the year continues and I am so excited to be taking part as a Veteran Judge on the latest series (13) of BBC TWO’s Great British Menu. Tune into GBM from the 10th September and keep an eye out for other TV appearances soon to be announced, including MasterChef.
